2008 TAYLOR BASEBALL COACHES BIOS
 
General Manager- Darrel Sakamoto
Darrel Sakamoto has been involved in coaching baseball for 28 years. He established Taylor Baseball Club in 1994 and has been the Head Coach/General Manager since its inception. Darrel was also an associate scout for the Cleveland Indians for 3 years.

Darrel's baseball experience has been instrumental in the success of Taylor Baseball players moving on in their baseball careers. He is responsible for the overall success and reputation of Taylor Baseball.

Darrel resides in Sammamish and is married to his wife Suzy. Between the two of them, they have five children and eight grandchildren.
HEAD COACH - Craig Bishop

Craig Bishop is currently in his 17th season coaching Seattle area youth baseball, the last eight associated with Taylor Baseball. Prior to coaching with Taylor Baseball, Craig coached 2 years with the Seattle Baseball Club and 4 years with Curtis Baseball Club. Craig has also coached 2 years at Wenatchee Valley College, as well as 6 years at Inglemoor High School including 2 conference championships.

Craig resides in Bothell with his expectant wife Angelique, 8 year old son Teddy and his 6 year old daughter Charley. He makes his living as owner of Bishop Baseball, a baseball instruction business

 

PITCHING COACH - Tighe Dickinson

Tighe Dickinson is entering his 8th season as the pitching coach for Taylor Baseball. Taylor pitchers have enjoyed great success during Tighe's tenure with the program.


Tighe is currently the pitching coach a the University of Washington Previously, He served as the Head Coach for the two time NWAACC champion Edmonds CC Tritons. Tighe was also involved with Edmonds as the pitching coach during the 2002 season. In 2003 Tighe took a break from college coaching to be the Head Coach at Skyline HS in Sammamish.

Tighe lives in Juanita with his new wife Tina who he married last fall.
ASSISTANT COACH- Brad Ditter

Brad Ditter is entering his 3rd season with Taylor Baseball. He is responsible for the infield instruction as well as helping with the hitting.

Brad just finished his 1st season as the Head Coach at Edmonds Community College, winning the NWAACC title in his first try.Brad graduated from Redmond HS in 1999 and went on to play at Edmonds Community College. He then went to New Mexico State University where he holds many offensive records. Brad was drafted in the 13th round by the Washington Nationals and played 3 years of minor league baseball, reaching the AA level before finishing his playing career in 2006.
