Darrel Sakamoto has been involved
in coaching baseball for 28 years. He established Taylor
Baseball Club in 1994 and has been the Head Coach/General
Manager since its inception. Darrel was also an associate
scout for the Cleveland Indians for 3 years.
Darrel baseball experience has been instrumental in
the success of Taylor Baseball players moving on in
their baseball careers. He is responsible for the overall
success and reputation of Taylor Baseball.
Darrel's track record for hiring young coaches is
second to none in the Puget Sound Area. His first
hire Billy Jones who coached Taylor 95' through 98'
went on to coach at Oregon State, Arizona State,
North Carolina State and currently serves as the
head assistant at Oklahoma State. Jones is regarded
as one of the top assistant coaches and top
recruiters in all of college baseball.
When
Jones departed after the 98 summer Darrel hired a
young Donnie Marbut who now is the head coach at
WSU. Several other of Darrel's assistants have gone
on to coach at the D1 level including Travis Jewitt
who currently is an assistant coach at power house
Arizona State.
Chris Sheehan served as
Darrel's pitching coach from 99'-00' before leaving
for the pitching coach job at Gonzaga. Following
Sheehan, Darrel hired Tighe Dickenson who served
as pitching coach until he was promoted to an
assistant coaching job at the UW after the 2008
summer.
Darrel and Craig Bishop served as
Taylor Baseball's coaches from 2000 until 2010
while establishing Taylor as one of the dominant
programs on the West Coast.
Darrel resides in Sammamish and is married to his
wife Suzy. |

Head Coach - Brad Ditter |

Brad Ditter, 31, is entering his
1st year as Head Coach after serving 6 years as an assistant coach for Taylor Baseball.
Coach Ditter graduated from
Redmond High School in 1999 where he was a two sport
all-state basball and basketball player.
He played collegiately at EDCC (2000-2002) where
he was named all NWAACC in both baseball and basketball.
In 2002 Coach Ditter hit .445 as part of the
NWAACC Championship Baseball team.
Coach Ditter earned his AA degree from EDCC in
2002 and went on to play baseball at New Mexico State
University (2002-2003). Ditter finished the 2003 year
hitting .402 and still hold 3 offensive records.
He was drafted in the 13th round in 2003 by the
Montreal Expos, and was named the team MVP by the
Vermont Expos of the New York Penn League.
He played three seasons with the Expos reaching
the double A level.
In 2007, Ditter earned his Bachelor of Science
degree with a minor in Business Administration from
Central Washington University.
Coach Ditter is currently the
head baseball coach at Edmonds Community College.
Ditter has a three year record of 97-38 (.770),
including an NWAACC championship (2008), and two
northern region championships (08,10.)
Coach Ditter has had the opportunity to coach two
Northern Region batting champions, and has helped 5
middle infielders move onto the Division 1 level in his
three years as head coach.
Coach Ditter resides in Lynwood
with his wife Rebecca, who is a third grade teacher.

Pitching Coach - Sean Donlin |

Sean Donlin is entering his 1st year as Taylor Baseball's pitching
coach. Sean has been serving as a private pitching instructor for
several Puget Sound area youth & collegiate ball players since 2003.
Last season he was the head coach for Woodinville Baseball Club's 14U
Koufax team, which finished with a 31-10 record and 3rd in the Sandy
Koufax State tournament.
Sean graduated from Redmond High School in 1998 playing both football
and baseball. Sean went on to pitch at Washington State University,
where he led the pitching staff in ERA as a freshman. Following his
freshman and sophomore seasons, Sean spent his summer in Northern
California, playing for the Humboldt Crabs. Sean transferred to Missouri
Western University to finish his collegiate baseball career and played
under former WSU assistant coach, Buzz Verduzco before returning to WSU
to finish and receive his BA in English.
In March 2003, Sean signed as a free agent with Independent Professional
team, Joliet Jackhammers and played former for New York Yankees catcher,
Matt Nokes. From 2003 - 2008, Sean played for the Joliet Jackhammers
(03, 04), Richmond Roosters (04), Windy City Thunderbolts (04 & 05),
Sioux Falls Canaries (05-07), Schamburg Flyers (08), Laredo Broncos
(08).
During 2007-2008 winter, Sean pitched for the Wembley Magpies (Perth,
AU) of the
Western Australia Baseball League and earned a spot on the USA All-Star
team.
Sean currently lives in Bothell, WA, works for TechPower Solution and is
also a karate instructor at Washington Shotokan Associaton.
