Taylor slugs way to 8-0 win over Chaffey

Taylor Baseball continued there solid play with a 5 inning win over host Chaffey in the Husky 4th of July Tournament on Saturday morning at UW. Jeremy Zink was the winning pitcher throwing 5 shutout innings on 2 hits, striking out 5 and walking 2.

Taylor opened the scoring in the 1st with a 3 run homerun by Stephen Hagen and then a solo homerun on the very next pitch by Bryce Anderson to make the score 4-0. Taylor added 1 run in the 2nd with an RBI groundout by Doug Cherry. In the 4th, Josh Rosser led off with a double and Kyle Laukala followed with a 2 run homerun to make the score 7-0. Taylor capped the scoring with a run in the 5th on a throwing error.

Next, Taylor continues tourney play with a game versus Lakeside. Gametime is set for 9am at the University of Washington.
