2011 USABF WORLD SERIES CHAMPIONS
    

Coming off a strong 2011 season, Taylor Baseball Club returns 7 ball players who will provide experience and leadership, and retools its club with 6 of the top seniors and 10 of the top juniors around the Puget Sound area.

Taylor Baseball Club enters this season with talent, experience, and depth around the diamond and throughout the lineup. Together with a strong and passionate coaching staff, Taylor Baseball looks to continue to add to their success in 2012.

Infield

Taylor Baseball’s infield is lead by returning 2B/SS and WSU commit, Shea Donlin (2012), who continues to demonstrate consistency and leadership at the plate and in the field.  New to this year’s middle infield is senior Ryan Archibald (2012), who has displayed range, power and a strong arm. Junior Caleb Hamilton (2013) has shown the ability to play anywhere in the infield and will provide lots of speed and great athleticism. Junior 2B Conor Plaisance (2013), bring lots of speed & quickness and good hands to round out the middle of Taylor’s infield. The corner of Taylor’s infield highlights two solid left-handed first basemen, in junior Cole Johnson (2013) and senior Joey Gamache (2012). Also returning back to the corner of the infield is junior Dylan Wright (2012). Wright has shown positive growth in his hitting & infield approach. Junior Russell Crippin (2012) is another versatile and athletic player who will compete for action at 3B, in the outfield and on the mound.

Outfield

The 2012 Taylor outfield returns two of the top athletes and ball players in the state. Senior CF and WSU bound, Austin Pernell (2012) anchors the outfield with speed and athleticism. Three year Taylor player and MLB prospect Theo Alexander (2012) brings experience, power and athleticism to the lineup. Victor Marquin (2012) is another returner from the 2011 season bringing leadership & speed to this year’s club. Senior Conor Cloyd (2012) is another newcomer to Taylor’s outfield who has displayed tons of speed and good bat control.

Catchers

Taylor Baseball adds three young and talented catchers to this year’s squad. Junior football standout Alex Galgano (2012) has exhibited a strong arm; junior Stephen Van Horn (2012), who also has the ability to help Taylor on the mound this summer and switch hitting junior Connor Phelps (2012) will also compete for time behind the plate for Taylor this summer.

Pitchers

Taylor’s pitching staff returns Oregon State commit RHP Marty Luckenbach (2012), WSU commit RHP Jacob Schroeder (2012) and junior RHP Dylan Wright (2013). Both Luckenbach and Schroeder participated in the 2011 Area Codes Games. New to this year’s staff is senior and Santa Clara signee RHP Reece Karalus (2012), senior RHP Spencer Greer (Western Nevada CC), senior LHP Joey Gamache (2012) and senior Cody Bauman (2012). Each senior has shown consistency and the ability to command the strike zone with multiple pitches. Taylor Baseball’s junior class features several young and strong arms. Junior LHP and WSU verbal commit Austin Strothers (2013), junior LHP Layne Bruner (2013), junior LHP Jacob Cogar (2013), junior RHP Russell Crippin (2012) have displayed maturity, strong arms and the ability to compete at the next level.

Coaches

Brad Ditter returns for his 7^th season to Taylor Baseball club, this time as head coach. Brad Ditter is also the head coach for Edmond Community College and has been instrumental in both Taylor Baseball and Edmond CC’s continued success and excellence. Tanner Swanson begins his Taylor Baseball coaching career this season. Tanner is also a member of the University of Washington baseball staff. Tanner’s coaching experience, organization, passion and attention to detail will continue aid in Taylor Baseball Club’s success and growth. Also new to this year’s coaching staff is Sean Donlin. Sean comes to Taylor Baseball Club with years of pitching experience and a strong ability to build rapport and develop pitchers through emphasizing a balanced and cotrolled mind, body connection. All three coaches have exhibited passion and knowledge in their ability to communicate the intricacies of the game and the responsibility to uphold the dominant Taylor Baseball tradition.
