Taylor Baseball Announces Coaching Change

Taylor Baseball has announced Scott Fairbanks will step down as head coach after accepting a full time area scouting job with the Chicago Cubs. Fairbanks will relocate to cover the Northern California Region along with covering most of the state of Nevada for the Cubs. Fairbanks will leave the program after spending the last three years with the program (two as pitching coach and one as head coach).

"I would like to thank Paul and Karen Taylor along with Darrel Sakamoto for the incredible opportunity to represent their program over 6 years of my life as a player and a coach. Not only did they  give me an  opportunity to have a successful career as a player back in 1996-1999, they  allowed me to come back to the program and grow as a coach and a man which led to this great opportunity to work for the Chicago Cubs."

Brad Ditter has been named the new head coach and will step in as the 4th head coach in Taylor Baseball's history as a club. Brad has served as an assistant coach for Taylor the last 6 years and has been instrumental in the success of the program. Coach Ditter also serves as the head coach for Edmonds CC where he won the NWAACC title in 2008.

Tanner Swanson and Sean Donlin will join Ditter to round out the 2012 coaching staff.

2011 Gonzaga Commit posted a 11-2 record while also hitting .416 with 10 HR's, 16 doubles, 10 HR's and 61 RBI's for Taylor during the 2011 summer. Callahan is a legitimate 2 way player at the next level and with his skill set he'll have a long successful professional career.

2011 WSU signee turned into one of the North West's top players in a flurry. Yale possesses big time tools that will make him a high draft pick following his career at WSU. Yale is hit .446 with 101 RBI's, 17 HR's, 34 doubles, and 11 triples for the 2011 Taylor club.

Bellevue College bound Bryan Burgher (Emerald Ridge) was Taylor Baseballs Ace racking up a 10-1record while hitting cleanup in the line-up with an average over .400.  Burgher was drafted by the Minnesota twins.

2012 Oregon State University commit RHP Marty Luckenbach (Woodinville) has established himself as one of the top pitching prospects in the NW. He is a top follow for every NW scout for the 2012 draft. Marty will pitch for The KC Royals area code team in the prestigious Area Code games in August.

Taylor Baseball IF Michael Lucarelli (Enumclaw HS) has accepted a scholarship offer from University of Portland. Lucareli was the 2 time MVP of the 3A SPSL in 2010 and 2011 seasons and a member of the 20111st team All State team.

Taylor Baseball SS Jourdan Weiks (Capital HS) accepted a scholarship offer and signed with University
of San Francisco.Weiks was a 2011 3A 1st team All State short stop.
2012 WSU commit Austin Pernell (Kentlake) is a force at the top of Taylor Baseballs line-up. Austin hit an even .400 with 33 stolen Bases, 14 doubles, 5 triples, 3 HR's and scored 72 times during the 2011 summer. He consistently runs the 60 under 6.7 and has instincts to go along with his game changing speed. Pernell is also an All-State DB at Kentlake HS

2011Kyle Doyle (Kentwood) is signed to pitch on scholarship at Seattle University next year. Doyle is a reliable rotation starter for Taylor and has been outstanding this summer in big games. Doyle has
one of the best left handed breaking balls in the NW and should be relied upon early as a freshman at Seattle U
2012 WSU committ Shea Donlin has been Taylor Baseball most consistent player all summer. Shea's hitting approach and short compact swing has led him to a .464 avg, with 27 doubles and 64 RBI's for the 2011 summer.

Chris Kerwood (Tahoma) is another Taylor Baseball pitcher who's success has led him to a D1 scholarship to Arkansas State University where former Taylor Baseball pitching coach Tighe Dickenson is now the pitching coach there.
WSU signee Avery Kain (Kentwood) stands 6'6 230 with the ability to pitch in the upper 80's with command. Avery could end up being an All-Pac 10 caliber pitcher
when its all said and done.

Theo Alexander (Lake Washington)
is one of the North West's top hitting prospects for the 2012 draft. His combination of power and speed as a left handed hitter makes him an elite prospect. Theo hit .413 with 21 doubles, 9 HR's and 68 RBI's. Theo will showcase his talents at the Area Code Games in August in Long Beach California.

Brady Kerr (Nathan Hale) will attend Bellevue College next year for coach Mark Yoshino. Brady will enter the NWAACC as one of the top catching prospects right away due to his ability to receive with a plus arm and a very good left handed bat.

2012 commit Jacob Schroeder (Ferndale) is one of the top 2012 RHP in the NW as well. Schroeder has committed to WSU and will also be a prospect for the 2012 MLB draft. Schroeder will represent the NW on the KC Royals Area Code team in early August.

Kevin Sheets (Mt Lake Terrace) has been Taylor Baseball's late inning stopper. Sheets who pitches side arm will be devastating in the NWAACC for Coach Brad Ditter at Edmonds CC.

Marcus Madden (Enumclaw) will also be heading to play at Edmonds CC for coach Brad Ditter. Marcus is a true third basemen and is as fundamentally sound as Taylor baseball has the club.
2013 Dylan Wright (Kentlake) will be one of the most sought after D1 players in the 2013 class. Dylan is a true two way player and has a chance to be special on the mound. 2012 Victor Mayorquin (Lake Washington) brings Taylor another player with tremendous speed. Victor also is a tremendous OF and with some polish at the plate will be a next level player.

Ethan Yeo is a power switch hitting catcher that has a chance to play at the proffesional level after his time at Edmonds CC. His off the charts make up and ability to handle a pitching
staff is
invaluable at any level.

Spencer Hobson has been Taylor Baseball's pitching staff leader for two years now and brings the maturity and leadership needed for any championship team. In his two years Hobson is 11-3 and has won several big games for the club.
